Item Description:
Not something you see every day. Custom WF Vickery rifle in 270. I believe it to be from the 1950s, but I am not certain. The rifle appears to be a custom barrel and stock and built off of a mauser action. The barrel is more dense than most 270s I have seen and has a very deep blueing. I believe the wood is tiger stripe walnut, but I'm not sure, The scope is a old period correct Weaver model and does have a cracked rear lens. The barrel is stamped "WF Vickery, Boise Idaho" The internet led me to learn who Vickery was. Impressive fellow. There is not a lot of information on his builds though. I was able to deduce that it is a custom rifle, made to order. Condition is easily 95% It is a beauty. I wish I knew more about the pedigree, but I do not. Located in Southeast, GA between Savannah and Statesboro, but I will travel up to an hour for a deal. Asking $1,000.
