Item Description: For Sale or Trade Smith & Wesson Model 64-2 Pinned Revolver with 2-inch heavy barrel, chambered in .38 S&W Special. One of very few that was not a police trade-in. This one is in excellent shape. However, she does have some signs of wear and use, but for its age it is great. She wears her original numbered Factory magnas. In my opinion, this is a must-have for every collection and the best barrel length made. This is what I would consider in excellent condition. The stainless is very nice, but I would not be afraid to shoot it and use it as intended. At the same time, I believe it is nice enough that you will be delighted with the investment you have made even one year from now. The excellent original finish on metal and wood shows just a few light storage/handling marks. Mechanically, the revolver is in excellent condition with no issues and Bank vault lockup and timing. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. This one is about as nice as they come!! I do not have the box, but will include a case with the sale.
Manufactured in 1979, this beauty has desirable features no longer available on today's modern machine-made guns- like a pinned barrel, hammer-mounted firing pin, Pre-Mim parts, and of course, the absence of that ugly lock.
