Item Description: $1000 Firm

I bought this bike lightly used in 1999 from the original owner who bough it and immediately realized he wanted a 200 so he could race in the same class with his buddies. It has been a great bike, but with three dirt bikes, one ass to ride them and the upcoming loss of my storage garage it is time to let it go.

The good:

Bike has been dead nuts reliable, though at 16 years of age it could blow up tomorrow. The only problem I ever had that interfered with the operation of the bike was when the kick starter pawl broke back in 2000, which I replaced immediately.

The bike has all kinds of armor to protect it from crash damage. Skid plate, radiator guards, rear disc guard, handguargs, carbon fiber pipe guard.

FMF pipe and silencer. I am 99% sure I still have the stock pipe and silencer.

The bike was sprung and re-valved by WER (Works Enduro Rider) for a 225lb (suited) rider.

The bike was lovingly maintained. Fresh oil and a clean air filer for pretty much every ride.

The bike crashes very well. I know from experience.

The bad:

The bike is 16 years old and is showing the wear of the years.
The seat started giving up its coloring on the second ride and it never got it back.
The front brake was soft when I moved the bike this morning. It was fine last time I rode the bike, but it was soft. The brake still works, but it takes a full pull of the lever.
The front wheel bearings need to be replaced.
The gas tank is slightly pressed in on the left side from impact with a tree (apparently, I needed a gas tank guard).
The quick release screws on the airbox long ago released themselves. I ran it without them for the last 15 years. Some people would put sheet metal screws in, but I found that the airbox never opened - even when I crashed.
The tires have several rides on them and should be replaced.
The chain and sprockets are probable near the end of their service life.
The bike does not have a kick stand on it. The bolt broke 15 years ago (a common failure) and I never got around to replacing it. I may or may not have the kickstand.
The oil drain plug seeped oil out following the last change. I can't recall if I lost the brass washer or if I stripped the housing. It was two years ago last time I rode the bike.
The bike is 16 years old, there are probably a number of things wrong with it that I just choose to ignore over time.

Note: The Scott's Steering Damper is not included - it will be moving on to another bike though the welded mount will remain.

I have a new set of plastics available for purchase with the bike for and additional $100.
