Item Description: *update* what I thought to be the starter going out, turns out to be the one way bearing completely going out and causing no friction for the motor to turn over. Starter spins but motor isn’t engaging. I’m done sinking money in it. Still taken apart as of now. $2200 not a penny less.
Got a 2016 Honda foreman 500 4x4 foot shift model. Trx500fm1. Has 237 hrs and 832 miles. Has snorkel kit and 14” had alloy wheels with 26” vampire tires. Bought to fix up for hunting season but more than I bargained for. The atv has its issues. Needs seals for final drive shaft on front and rear left. Needs a one way clutch bearing because there is no pressure on deceleration. Possible needs top end rebuilt. Doesn’t smoke or anything just has a rattle in higher rpms. Not sure if it’s the one way bearing making the noise or internally. But still has all power. Plastics have a few cracks. It wasn’t taken care of by previous owner $2200firm
