For sale is a Rock Island 5" GI Spec 1911. I am the original owner and have cleaned it after each of its 4 range trips. Its has had about 200 rounds down the chamber. It has lived in my glove box most of its life so its parkerization will show character but there is no rust and everything works smooth and flawlessly.
This is a great gun to shoot. Very accurate and easy to handle. This is good for home or self defense, hunting, or fun shooting. If you havent had a 1911, you should! I'll never not have one.
The 1911 was used by the US military from 1911 through vietnam when they switched to the smaller 9mm. They are now ditching their choice to switch back to the heavy and tough 45acp round.

Coming with this gun is 100rounds new in the box and two magazines; the one it came with and a +1 extended mag.
Also on this gun are HOGUE GRIPS! these are the best 1911 grips on the market. they are thick rubber with finger grooves. these are normally $20!
