It looks like someone has attempted to repair it before, it has some incorrect parts. The gunsmith I saw was unable to load a 44 round. I honestly don't know much more about it.

I wish I was closer… I would find a way to take a look , I’d like to have it. Heck I can’t even drive right now though.
I have a 44 lever action already , wouldn’t mind another ! Lol
