The PT-945 is the largest caliber in Taurus' medium frame pistol series. Its design relies on the modified SIG-type Colt-Browning tipping-barrel locking system. This model offers the same features as Taurus' large frame 92 series pistols, including drop hammer forged steel slide and forged ordnance grade alloy frame, a loaded chamber indicator and a three-position frame-mounted ambidextrous safety that allows for a classic SA "cocked-and-locked" mode, as well as functioning as a DA decocking lever.
