Location: Between Athens & Monroe
Zip Code: 30641
Item is for: Sale or Trade
Sale Price: 2400
Trade Value or Items Looking For: Open
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: Here is a somewhat rare specimen, still in good shape and nearly ready to sail. Clean title in hand.
West Wright Potter boats have a cult following, the original being a 14 foot boat (later renamed a 15). In 1970 the HMS company started making an 18. Production was halted on the 18 in 1975, and resumed under different ownership in the early 80s when it was renamed the 19. This boat is of the original series.
Overall, as you can see. She is in good shape for the age. I’ve never actually had it on the water, but I believe I could have it out today. All major components are present, and the standing rigging (cables) look to have been replaced recently. Sails are in good shape, stored indoors in a bag, and the cushions were recently replaced and kept indoors. I pulled the trailer (looks original) over an hour with no problem; tires in excellent shape. Mainly just needs some paint, wood refinish, minor hardware, and such to be nice.
Can send more pictures / details if you like. Sake or trade.
