Item Description: Note: I have used some photos from the original seller. Case is used as a prop, is not for sale.
Gun dates from mid 1920s to early 30s from what I can tell.
The wood is in very good condition, no cracks, shows some use with a few small dents. The finish is in overall good shape. The barrel blue is about 95% and looks original, very nice. Barrels have no dents, there is one scuff at the bottom of the top rib where it sits on the top barrel, happened before my time but it is not anything serious and doesn't intrude into the barrel.
2 5/8" chambers, my recommendation is to shoot lower pressure shells like RST 2 1/2" loads or Polywad, both will deliver to your front door.
Gun weighs 6lb 10oz on my digital scale.
The 26" barrels are choked light Improved Cylinder (.006") and very tight modified (.024"), you might say Improved Modified.
Gun features full coverage hand engraving, even well out onto the barrels. The game scene engraving on the sides doesn't show up well in the pics, but it is first class.
Auotomatic ejectors work fine, bores are clean, gun locks up tight. Previous owner added a Pachmayr Decelerator pad. Length from front trigger over the pad is about 14 1/4".
Wrist of the stock is slim as is the forearm, gun handles more like a 20 than a 12.
