Item Description: Based on the serial number I believe this is a 1939 gun. I purchased it almost 20 years ago, put 3 shells through it then put it back in the case. Its been there ever since. I also believe it is the Featherlight model just based on its weight, but it does not say that anywhere on it. My scale says it weighs exactly 6 lbs. Even though its only 16g, it hits pretty hard due to the light weight. It is a 26" barrel, no rail, bead sight, Improved Cylinder.
Function was 100% for me, mechanically it feels very good. The wood has some dings in it but no cracks. Most of the bluing is gone, especially on the receiver. I tried to capture the worst spot of it in the picture of the right side of the receiver. Despite the lack of bluing, there is very very little rust. If one were inclined I think it could be brought back to 100%. Apparently Ithica offers a rebluing service but I have not looked into it.
I thought I was going to keep this one forever just because its cool, but realistically I'll never shoot it. Its too neat to live packed away forever, hopefully we can find a good home for it.
