Item Description: Have a LaFaucheux Pinfire Revolver, which my wife has been researching, in very good condition. LaFaucheux was a very good, wellknown French military gunmaker and inventor. Although not imported by the Confederacy, some Southern officers are known to have carried LeFaucheux M1858 Revolvers. From research thus far, believe this one to have been made prior to 1858, between 1840-1850. Selling it for a dear friend who recently lost her husband. Licensed, reputable gunsmith looked it over. He said this gun is in very good condition for this era revolver. Pretty certain it's a 9 mm cal. Has LaFaucheux engraving on the octagon shape barrel. Has one screw missing (IMG# 3967). Note IMG # 3935- on butt of wooden grip, has raised diamond shape, which thus far I have not found on any other LaFaucheux of this era. SEE PHOTOS LISTED. Asking $500, or best offer. Contact me at (706) 975-8442, or (706) 647-3640.
