Item Description: FOR SALE ONLY is a Massey Ferguson 1240 diesel tractor, it runs good and is the perfect tractor for doing food plots, bush hogging, or any other tractor work you need to do. I am listing this for my wife's uncle. We have used this the last few years at our hunting club and it has never missed a lick. Despite it's smaller size it still has some good power to it, and given the size you can even haul it with a half ton pick up. It has just under 1,200 hours on it. $4000.

He has those tires on it and it's not 4x4? Interesting. I love my 4x4 with a loader. We get a fair amount of work done
Yea. I am pretty sure it is becsuse he got them on special if I am recalling correctly. That front bucket loader is the biggest want for our hunting club property that we manage together. Between being able to use it to haul out deer and hogs and being able to did a hole to put the remnants of deer, hogs, and coyotes in. The 4x4 for going through some of the clear cuts.

I took my loader off one time and put it right back on. having a loader is great. And if you have a loader, you need 4x4. It'll work so much better all together. I also like the way the 4x4 drives too. I've been around farm tractors all my life. They were always 2x4. All well and good till you start using a loader on one. I bet that tractor drives good with those front tires on it. Just seems like it would looking at it. When I was a little kid we had a 8 or 9N. Front end always coming off the ground. Then my Dad bought a MF. He had a 65 model. He later traded it in for one with power steering in the early 80s. He still has that machine. Still runs great too

I grew up using my grandfather's MF 135. Unsure of the year but one of my first memories of me operating it was dumping the clutch and popping a wheelie. I have always loved old tractors. Eventually when I retire I would like to restore an old MF or AC. He also had an an allis chalmers for a while. My uncle still has my grandfather's massey Ferguson.
