Item Description: 1938 Mosin for sale. Good shape. Clean bore with good rifling. Bought it covered in cosmoline and probably shot it 15 times.

I remember when you couldn’t walk into a gun store without seeing crates of these way back when. Glad I grabbed a few. The coolest thing about these rifles is the stamping. Each stamp marks a trip the rifle made. One of mine allied and RussiaN stamped. Love the history

Yeah it’s some cool history. My dad talks about how he bought .30 carbines for $20 back in the day in the same way. They were basically giving them away.

Interesting too that it probably was issued in WW2. You hear stories about how the Russians were short on rifles at the beginning of the war, so since this was made before it started I would say highly likely this one was issued to a soldier.
