Item Name: Item Gone: FS Mossberg 500A 18.5" Breacher Barrel 6+1 with aftermarket stock
Location: Buford
Zip Code: 30518
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: $275
Caliber: 12gauge
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: I got this from an "estate". I would say the condition is mechanically excellent but cosmetically just good to very good. It is a working gun not a display champion. I think this was an original breacher barrel gun based on the forearm with the strap but the original owner put the Phoenix Technologies collapsible stock on it (the shell holder on the side of it can be removed or switched to the other side). The 18.5" barrel length includes the breacher end, which is not removable. Choke is most likely cylinder. When I got it there was a TacStar 6 shot side saddle attached. I bought a new screw and pin from Mossberg to restore it to factory original. I removed the side saddle and disassembled the gun. The previous owner used some sort of threadlocker or similar when putting on the side saddle. I did everything I could to clean it off without marring the finish, but there was only so much I could do. It almost feels like there is some left. See the picture. I cleaned everything in an ultrasonic cleaner, brushed out the barrel and mag tube, cleaned the receiver, etc. Lubed it up, put it back together, and test fired it 10 rounds. Worked fine. Much nicer than when I got it. I will include the side saddle that came with it.
