I bought probably in the 90's but not sure.
I bought if with the understanding the handles were ivory. At that time there were still legal ways to use it. Today, it would be grandfathered in if in fact it is elephant ivory.
I may be another form of bone/tusk. I am no expert. You be the judge.
Demacus with brass. Very attractive.
Knife is in excellent condition. It has been mostly my dress up knife. It was never used to skin an animal, cut wood or other such stuff.
