Item Description: Remington Model 11 C “trap special” made around 1927. I acquired this gun in a family estate sale and have never seen one like it before and have found little information on it anywhere. From what I have found it is rare due to the factory polychoke, English stock and the gauge. It is in amazing shape other that being in a case that caused discoloration spots in the bluing on the receiver on one side. I don’t think it has been shot much at all. I have about 3 boxes of ammo that’s included.

A very good find.
We don't see many Remington 11C Trap Grade in 12 ga and even less frequently in 16 ga.
From the "Blue Book" -The straight grip stock was standard on the 11C.
The design for the safety changed to outside the trigger guard around 1928 so it is definitely before this time.

You can date it by the serial number based on the data from the Remington Society. PM if you have questions on how to determine the date from the serial.

Not that it is relevant, but for my own curiosity, how are you able to determine the poly choke is factory installed?

A sincere good luck with the sale.

To be honest I was going off some information I got from someone that collected Model 11 Remingtons. I’m baffled about this one.

As discussed in PM, I would get a second opinion from a different collector on the Poly Choke being factory installed ;-)
Otherwise, everything you have been told seems to match up.

This is a good find and would make a fine addition to a Model 11 or even A5 collection.
