Item Description: All Weather 77/44 with a Redfield Revolution 2x7x33 scope, Volquartsen trigger sear and spring, 1 mag, and 56 rounds of ammo. Great little gun, just thinning the herd. I will sell as is with the Redfield for 850 or I can keep the Redfield and throw in an older Simmons Whitetail classic fixed 4 power and sell for 700. Prefer to meet within 35 miles of Byron. No trades at this time.

i can probably answer but it's a bolt action (the 44 carbine was the semi version) and they only offer the 5 round rotary magazine. never seen a "high capacity" magazine for the Ruger 44 mag rifles.

Okay great. Thanks for the info. Never understood why these were restricted to only 5 rounds. My Winchester lever 44 hold 8+1 in Mag and 9+1 in specials. Oh well. Thanks again.

it's the rotary magazine that Ruger developed (same as the 10/22, etc) so it's flush with the bottom of the rifle. Clean looks, not so great for capacity, but no tube under the barrel.

the 77/44 is a great rifle, I have a 96/44 lever action 44 that I like. very different look and feel compared to the older 92/94 type rifles.
