Item Description: The 226R is an upgrade version of the classic SIG P226 double stack 9mm pistol. Capacity 15+1. The “R” version includes various upgrades over the base 226 of the time, including a rail and factory SIGLITE night sights. Two sets of grips included (see photos), and plenty of valuable add-ons. If you include the night sights, there's a good $400 worth of extra gear over a base P-226 included in this deal!
I purchased this pistol less than three years ago, then used it for about a year as a competition weapon. Built like a tank, extremely accurate and ultra-reliable. It’s had several thousand rounds run through it with virtually no malfunctions. As you’d expect with a gun that was regularly used in competition, there’s visual evidence of wear on a couple of the corner surfaces. Carefully maintained. Brand new recoil spring installed.
