Item Description: I ordered and bought this P229 Stainless Elite new in 2012 as a military retirement gift for myself. I have probably put 50 rounds through it and it resides in my safe. All paperwork,tags, ribbons, books and case included.
Life changes and changing interests are the reason for selling.
The gun shoots like a dream with very low recoil. The gun has a stainless steel frame-NOT aluminum and was made in Germany-see frame note.
The gun came with beautiful rosewood grips, but I installed the black factory Sig grips on a whim. This comes as a kit pictured with the tool and the hammer strut and slide stop has to be replaced to work with this grip-note the pic. I saved all hardware and rosewood grips for future installation.
Ok-It is an expensive premium gun and I don’t need the money-please don’t waste my time with ridiculous low offers . I might negotiate a very little but that will happen in person. Show up with cash and find out. I will travel to a mutually agreed location but not more than 10 miles or so.
This is a beautiful gun with flawless machining. It is “as new” condition I just don’t use it!!
