I know nothing about this rifle as far as model and so I hope the pics help I have had this for years has strong rifling good shooter comes with the bandolier full of ammo that is pictured. Look at the pics and pm me if you have any questions or I'll take it's.

This is a Belgium Mauser produced by FN most likely a Model 1950 although the application of the round metal date tag at the right shoulder requires additional research since it is not consistently applied on the M50's. These are classified as short rifles as opposed to carbines so I assume the barrel length exceeds 20".......Is this correct?

yup the barrel is longer then 20 inches.

If I didn't limit my MilSurp collection to just carbines I would buy it in a second. This is a solid bargain on a solid FN Mauser and should not last long at this price. GLWS

Everyone is very close. It is a Lithuanian FN 24/30. The Lithuanian's applied troop tags to the rifle stock like willys54 noted.

Edit: It is a pity someone peened all the nice markings off. I bet this rifle was beautiful before it was tampered with, would be a great rifle for a custom build.

Your price is good. It's just that not a lot of people are into this kind of stuff. To be honest, I have seen stripped FN actions sell for almost what you are asking.
