Item Description: Purchased this rifle from an estate sale several years ago. It just sits in my safe and it needs a new home. I'm not too familiar with Arisakas. So, the following is what I've found on the internet by doing a little research.

Rifle comes with bayonet, bayonet cover and sling.

Dates between 1933 and 1940. Bayonet was manufactured under Kokura supervision. The bayonet is blued. The grip is a contoured wrap around style and rivet retained. The pommel is birds head with flat sides. The bayonet was made between 1936 and 1945. The "Mum" is partially ground, which to me is the best of both worlds in that it has the history of being ground, but you can still see parts of the Mum.

The sling on the rifle is from a US Garand. When I bought the rifle, I was told that their grandfather brought it back from WWII and he put a sling on it from his other rifle. So, since the rifle came with the sling, I just left it on there. (I know, "buy the rifle, not the story".) I cannot find any import marks on rifle.

I live in Cartersville. I don't mind meeting someone as far south as Kennesaw/Acworth area or as far north as Calhoun.

I've had a couple of private messages asking about the bore. Here are some pictures that I took. It's the best I could do. So, I hope it helps. I have never shot the rifle nor have I cleaned the bore. I wanted to keep it just as I purchased it. I simply purchased it to go with my WWII collection of rifles. But, my safe has gotten full of other stuff and I've lost interest in this type of collecting. So, this is one of the items I've chosen to sell. I'm an admitted novice and I don't pretend to be a gun smith. However, just by looking at the pictures, the bore looks strong to me. Definitely not shot out.
