Item Description: I have two mini smokers that I hand made. They are a little bigger than a mini Weber Smokey Mountain. I painted these myself with 500 degreen engine paint. One is red with black harware, and one is all black with silver hardware. Each smoker will fit 2 10lb boston butts or 4 racks of baby back ribs or a full packer brisket folded in half.

I have built my own and used it for 4 years now with no issues. I build them for friends and family. I have these two extras that I don't need. One load of charcoal will let you cook for about 6-8 hours without refilling. You can also remove the center section to use it as a normal grill. Any questions let me know. $125 Pics will be attached in the next post.

Can ash be removed during a smoke?
Yes. All you have to do is take the center section off, dump the ash, and reload with charcoal. I have never had to dump the ash because the area that holds ash is pretty good size and the coals do not choke out very easily. I cooked a boston butt last weekend on mine for 7 1/2 hours on one load of coals.

Were you able to load more coal without dumping the ash? My primary cooker is pretty dang big and I hate pulling it out to smoke one butt or one rack.
I have a big smoker too and thats why I made the small one so when my wife wants ribs, a small pork butt or something like that, I dont have to fire up the big smoker. Yes you could add more coals without dumping the ash. I use Kingsford Comp in mine with chunks of white oak, and really never smoke longer than 8 hours at 2225-250. I build on for my dad and he has smoked for 12 hours before, but he had to add coals around the 9 hours mark cooking at 230ish.

On post number three I have a picture of how the center section pulls off, and you can load more coals into it. It is very easy to do.
