Item Description: Ok... So I am DEEP into the safe cleaning tonight and have this beauty up for sale!
This is 1/2 of the very elusive Coca-Cola 100 yr anniversary matching set of Winchesters. This is a Winchester model 1500 semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun. It comes unfired in the original box with all the original paperwork including trigger tag and (2) extra chokes. The gun is engraved with the Coca-Cola script on the barrel & receiver and also a gold coin 100 year Coca-Cola medallion embedded in the stock. I have included a link to the to 30/30 that is currently for sale at Cabela's in Acworth Ga. for $1599 at the bottom of this post as a comparison to price.

THE Story of these GUNS:
Everyone asks about how these rifles came to be. Well, pull up a chair and let me tell you of how these guns evolved from an idea to actually being made and the mystery surrounding how many exist in the "wild". It started with senior level executives at The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta wanting to create something legendary for the 1986 Coca-Cola (100) year anniversary celebration. So, in early 1984 they entered into a partnership with Winchester to create qty. 2500 matching sets of Winchesters that would be gifted to clients and executives. The set included a 30-30 rifle and 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun that would carry the Coca-Cola logo and pay tribute to the 100 year anniversary. After gifting a few hundred of the sets, the Board of Directors at the Coca-Cola company found out what the senior executives had done and did not feel it was a good partnership. (Coca-Cola & Guns? Hell yes!!! But I was not sitting on the board to weigh in.)))
So they ceased gifting the sets and moved the remaining guns into storage.
Fast forward to 1997 and new senior leaders found these guns in storage and started gifting again. The board got wind of this and ordered the remaining guns be destroyed.
It is not clear, and there are many different sources that have conflicting information, on the exact number that were released vs. the number that were destroyed, but none can be confirmed. Neither the Coca-Cola Company or Winchester recorded who or how many were gifted. (all of this is a quick Google inter-web search away from your finger tips)
