Item Description: I need to trade this Charter Arms sinb in 38 Special for another snub or MAYBE 3" barrel in 32 Long/ 32 H&R Magnum or possibly 22WMR. This Charter is in very decent condition. The only marks on the blued finish is on one part of the cylinder where it was laying on that side for years. I have put less than 20 rounds through it. Hey 38 Special ain't cheap, right? Trade value is about $300.00.
I need a short barreled revolver in a smaller caliber for my daughter to carry. So as of now that is my only trade interest.

Keep the Charter, load with .38 long.
You may have a point here. I was just googling low recoil 38 Special. That might be a short term solution. Although I would prefer for her to have that extra round in the cylinder that you get with 32 Long/Magnum. Hell I have two revolvers in 32 Magnum but one is an H&R and the other is an NEF with a 3" barrel. Nothing wrong with them aside from the weight and limited capacity for the caliber. I wanted to get her to use the LCP Max I recently traded into but it doesn't have a manual safety and that bothers her and my wife. But damn, if she could just master trigger discipline that would be a perfect carry gun. One 10 round mag and one 12 round. It doesn't get much better than that in a pocket pistol.

Ga Arms or handloaded 148 gr Wadcutters in a mild load.
Great penetration and accuracy.
Mild recoil. I also recommend the Lipsey’s UC revolver in 32 HR mag or 38 Spl

If you can find WC loads send me a pm.

If you're talking about that special edition Lipsey's Smith hammerless then hell yeah I would dig one of those for ME. But as of now I have more guns than cash m

Wish I still had the Kel Tec P-32
James Reeves of TFB TV calls them the mailbox gun or the going to the corner bodega for a six pack gun. I have the factory 10 round mag for mine as well as a plus one floor plate on another mag. You can not get a smaller center-fire pistol.

The Kel Tec P-32 and the NAA black widow
Both are last ditch micro options.

Not my idea of a first option carry pistol. Unless I am where it absolutely has to be undetectable.

Also consider Law Enforcement vs citizen
A small caliber to the right spot or anywhere and they run away. Still saves the day. LEO has to apprehend the subject, and is more likely to need more firepower.

Tho I have a few options, I generally prefer a J frame snub. Practice Practice Practice! It’s shocking how accurate you can be with the right load and a 1 7/8” 38 spl.
