Up for sale is a neat vintage.22 double action revolver by High Standard. This is essentially the 9-short Model R-100. First made in 1955, at the request of Sears & Robuck, who wanted a budget friendly “kit gun.” The Sears model was the “J. C. Higgins 88.” High Standard’s model was the “Sentinal.” This gun was made in the late 1950s. Has a 4.5 inch barrel. An excellent shooter in very good condition with 65+ years of character. This was the earlier model, without an extractor return spring. As a result, the receiver behind the cylinder has the inevitable extractor scratches. (See pictures).
The price is $265. Will meet at Bass Pro Shop in Lawrenceville. If you don’t like it when you first see it, we’ll just shake hands and cancel the sale. No big deal.
Thanks for looking.
