Hi, I thought for awhile I might keep this forever, but as it is with everything there is a bigger better fish out there I have my eye on and I want to free up the funds. I have a new hobby I want to free up some more cash for.
Up for sale is a 1955 Russian Type 2 AK-47 Reweld done by TurboThis. This kit has seen conflict and is one of those PLO bring backs from the early 2000s. I was told they confiscated something like 200 AK patterned weapons from a conflict, cut them up and imported them. Those were the only kits that made it through. Don’t quote me on this lore but it is what I have been told.
It has an original Russian barrel, original finish, all matching numbers, fluted piston, and rewelded on a TurboThis receiver piece. Anyone who knows what this is will tell you it is a special gun and even special among those kits imported in the early ‘00s. All matching numbers (even the stock tang) kits were few and far between. I have brought it to a number of the most recent ODT Swap Meets and it always draws a crowd.
Asking $8000 cash. I’d like it to stay in GA/local so asking what I hope is fair. I’ve only ever seen two of these come up for sale and neither were matching numbers and both went for more than 12k. One on GB, one on AK files. Neither were all matching or with the original finish.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to see more pics. Not in a hurry to sell so please no tire kickers or lowball offers.
Thanks for looking.
