Well, after several attempts, retirement has finally arrived. After working for 60 years, I decided to let someone else run the world.
That being said, I am offering several items that I have enjoyed and want to let someone else do the same.
This is something that you will not see very often. Frett Clockworks has been taking pocket watches and converting them to wrist watches for several years now. This particular one is a 50mm Elgin that was originally built in 1901 and was converted about 4 years ago. The movement was completely overhauled and runs exceptionally well. The original porcelain dial is in very good condition and wears very well. The original watch case is included. These conversions when completed run from $1600 to over $4000. As I recall, I think that this one was around $1800. www.frettclockworks.com is their website. I will also include a new brown rubber watch band that I just purchased a couple of days ago.

I am primarily looking for cash, but would entertain silver bullion at spot, possible swiss automatic wrist watch or 9mm EDC.
Feel free to PM offers or questions and please include the value of your trade and how much difference you are looking to either give or receive.
Please view my other listings as I am always open to package deals.
Thanks and God Bless America!

I have had a lot of watches over the years, but this one is a one of a kind. How often do you find something that is almost 125 years old that functions better than when it was new?

Why would you want to sell it ?
I have several really cool old pocket watches, This is something I am very interested in and am going to look into a conversion of one my father owned. I would love to be able to have it converted and wear it on my wrist….it would remind me of him everytime I looked at it ! Lol

I have several wristwatches and this one is a bit large for me. If I sell it I would wear one of the others or if I can do a trade for something around 38-40mm then I would wear that for my everyday watch.
Frett Watchworks is the company that did the conversion.
