MOTIVATED SELLER! Freeing up funds for a tractor purchase. If you go to a store to buy new, you’re going to walk out the door right at $3,300. Make me a reasonable offer.
I am selling my Like-New Taylor 717 Builder's Edition. I really can't say enough good things about this. It is a stunningly beautiful guitar and plays like an absolute dream. I'm no good at guitar, but I do have a video of me playing it so you could hear how good this specific guitar sounds (none of that thin Taylor tinniness...it sounds full across the spectrum with a surprising low end).
This is Taylor's new Grand Pacific body that gives a very different sound than Taylor usually produces. This along with the new V-Bracing give it a much bolder sound that is more akin to a dreadnought. The overall sound is a "rich, saturated voice with clear low-end power". It has more low-end than you traditionally find in a Taylor, but without the "woofiness" associated with dreadnoughts due to the new V-Class bracing. It really does sound phenomenal (even my kids have told me they can tell the difference from the other room when I'm playing this one, "it sounds way better").
Top - Torrefied Sitka Spruce
Back - Indian Rosewood
Sides - Indian Rosewood
Neck - Tropical Mahogany
Fretboard - West African Crelicam Ebony
Inlay - Mother of Pearl Arrowheads
Fretboard Bindings - West African Crelicam Ebony
Body Bindings - Sapele
Finish - Silent Satin
Bridge and Bridge Pins - West African Crelicam Ebony
The Builder's Edition adds a lot of really nice touches that make it much more beautiful and more comfortable to play. Taylor already makes a really nice guitar; but once you step into their 7-series...and Builder's Edition at that, it really is on another level.
Even the factory hard case is a statement piece.
Happy to take any more pictures you need or just meet up so you can see it and play it in person (just no belts, jackets, or metal buttons while you play it: it's in perfect condition).
