Very hard to find one this nice today. Ruger letter states that it was shipped in November, 1968 to Sloan's Sporting Goods in NYC. The sales receipt ($95.00 + tax) from a LGS in NJ is in the box along with the owner's manual, warranty card, brown wax paper wrap, and the State of New Jersey Permit To Purchase Pistol Or Revolver. Sales receipt is dated 1-11-1969.
The box is nearly perfect as is the gun. It shows very little evidence of use and no rust, not even a stained hammer. The condition is 99% new. It's a 6 1/2" barrel. No excuses.
The original owner moved to Georgia after retiring, sold the gun to a LGS here, and I bought it from them. You can be the third owner of a 56 year old Blackhawk.
