Item Description: Very nice Sig Sauer P6 with 2 factory magazines and box.
The feed ramp on the barrel was professionally re-profiled to P225 geometry to accept 124 grain and larger JHP rounds.
According to Sig connoisseur "Ferrari Steve":
Sig P6 pistols with date stamps earlier than 6/89 had slightly different feed ramp geometry than the standard P225. The original P6 feed ramp was designed for the full-metal jacketed “ball” ammunition used by German police at the time, but also seems to do fine with smaller 115-grain jacketed hollow-point rounds. However, the original P6 often had trouble feeding modern jacketed hollow-point rounds larger than 124-grain.
For an additional $75 for the purchaser only I will include the Factory P225 Spring Kit ($49 from the Sig Store), the P Series SRT kit ($49 from the Sig Store), and the P225 mainspring ($9 from the Sig Store- now NLA). The P6 mainspring weight is 24 lbs vs 18 lbs for the P225 mainspring.
According to the label on the box (and a Google search), this particular P6 was issued to a competitive German triathlete while she served in the German Military.
The recent completed sales on GB for a P6 with box and two mags are $580, $545, $705 and $640 plus shipping. A P6 with no box and one mag recently sold for $530 plus $29.99 shipping. In light of those sales I believe I have this one priced very reasonably.
