Sturdy tilting QD 6-9" bipod (I believe its a Harris or a Champion),
Plus lots of other upgrades I'm sure Im forgetting...

Lots of time and work put into her... And it shows.

Seriously the most accurate .223/5.56 I've ever shot. Virtually no felt recoil (has a decelerator buttpad) and feels like you're shooting a heavy .22, or even a red rider. I have no problem hitting fist-sized targets/objects at 300yds, and have even stretched it out to 800yds with confidence. I wouldn't shoot a deer at 800yds-- but at 200yds, you can literally pick which ventricle you want to hit and drop a deer instantly due to the extreme precision of this rifle.

Not in a hurry to sell, but have a wedding coming up and could use the funds. Will entertain trades for a 9mm handgun + cash (preferably a CZ P07 or other CZ), a 14.5" or longer complete AR upper + cash, or anything else of interest plus cash. Will listen to all trade offers, worst I can say is no.

Original synthetic stock is included as well as the original box, original Burris lens covers, Vortex flip-up objective lens cover, and 10rd sleeve.

Technically it will fire, but the length of the rifles throat is significantly different . Yes people do it everyday, but it's not recommended
The 700 lease almost meets NATO spec rather than samii specs so it's not as significant. But I'd rather not damage the chamber integrity of an expensive target rifle

Remington 700's are chambered with a very long throat/leade, and many for sale are advertised as being ".223/5.56" even though the barrel is only stamped ".223". The argument over compatibility between .223 vs 5.56 didnt even exist before the internet. .223 Rem was just the civilian version of 5.56 and both were used interchangeably. Also, think about the pressure variations between the assortment of factory 30-06 loads they sell at the store right now-- they are much wider than the max variation between any .223 vs 5.56 load.

I can't find a singe recorded incident of a Rem 700 (or any decent, modern .223 bolt gun for that matter) that is stamped .223 and has had a catastrophic failure from firing 5.56. (The exception would high end .223 target guns with super tight match grade chambers, but people with these guns know this and likely handload every cartridge anyways)

Now if we bring semi-auto's/AR's chambered in .223 into the mix, then the conversation definitely changes, and I would NOT fire 5.56 from an AR chambered in .223 rem.

At the end of the day, this is a bolt gun with a long throat/leade, a 1/7 twist, a blueprinted action, and a 20" heavy bbl that has never had one issue firing or cycling ANYTHING that will fit in the chamber and shows no signs of wear. The pressure difference w/ .223 vs 5.56 is simply insignificant for a Remington 700 to care. Hell, this rifle will even re-chamber the spent 5.56 brass that it spits out with ease, and its action feels tighter and smoother than any other bolt action .223 i've handled. Not to mention its unbelievable accuracy (this is at 200yds w/ m193)

Not intending to come across as a dick or start a new argument, but there's just too much false information online regarding this subject from people who've been told something by someone who knew someone else who had an uncle who knew a gunsmith that said "blank".

I suggest you read this article: https://www.luckygunner.com/labs/5-56-vs-223/

"Summary: Velocities and pressures for 5.56 ammunition in a .223 barrel were not significantly higher than the same ammunition in a 5.56 barrel; in fact, they were in between the two 5.56 barrels. This doesn’t mean that your barrel will have the same results, and you should always be aware of pressure signs when holding metal objects containing 50-60,000psi of pressure only a few inches away from your face."
