I have a US marked early production S&W 1917 Revolver. These were issued to US troops in WW1 due to a shortage of the semi-auto 1911’s.

This revolver has the proper US Property Markings on the bottom of the barrel and grip. It also features the CHS logo on the side.
Early guns were marked with the initials of Colonel Gilbert H. Stewart, chief inspector.
Later guns had the flaming bomb ordinance proof at the same position (left side top of frame).

Half moon clips were created for quick reloading and later full size moon clips were produced. Included are two original half moon clips and 6 repro full moon clips.

Also included is the repro holster that would have been used during WW2, Korea, and by the tunnel rats in Vietnam. The repro WW1 standard issue holster and lanyard are also included.

This revolver has zero sign of rust, bore is great with zero pitting. Revolver is all matching numbers which based off the serial number have this one being produced in 1918.
