The Skipper was a .40 cal Officers sized 1911 pistol made by IAI…. The IAI company became AMT, the same company that made the Hardballer series 1911s…These Skippers are quite rare and sought after. This one was in pretty rough shape when I got it many years ago. I cleaned it up and polished the slide sides, and controls, cut a set of thin grips to fit(slim bushings and screws installed) and added the 2 longer mags with the Pearce grip extensions. Another owner made the checkered grips fit, and I got them when I bought it back(3rd time?)…it has the correct factory grips, screws, and bushings included, correct factory mag included. Looking to trade, but will be very particular on trades. Maybe a CZC SP01 Shadow, or an early CZ PreB in polished blue.
