Item Name: FS/FT VZ-98/22 Mauser
Location: Atlanta
Zip Code: 30316
Item is for: Sale or Trade
Sale Price: 340
Trade Value or Items Looking For: classic metal pistols
Caliber: 8x57 Mauser
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: Brno manufactured Mauser. This example is nice because it was not sent to Turkey or Iran. It still has the original sights on the rifle and some Imperial German parts, i.e. Danzig proof marks. As part of war reparations, the Germans gave the Czechs a ton of G98's and components, which the Czechs ended up using to make VZ-98/22. This example has a nice curved lettering stamp on the receiver.
The stock is in good shape with no cracks and smooth finish. Has a little trench art though. Barrel has good rifling and a dark bore, but is a good shooter. I took the rifle out to CMP Talladega and it was a lot of fun.
As an added bonus, I have a correct style Czech bayonet to go with the rifle. The scabbard has a unit number stamped on it too, which is cool. Will also include two boxes of Yugoslavian surplus ammo (on stripper clips, brass case, corrosive).
Prefer to sell more than anything else, but would be willing to entertain trades for classic metal frame pistols or a complete AR pistol upper in .223/5.56.
