Item has been relisted, you can find the new listing at: https://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/fs-mauser-k98k-bnz-45-kriegsmodell.2132153/
Item Name: FS Mauser K98k - BNZ 45 Kriegsmodell
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Zip Code: 30004
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: $2,500 OBO
Caliber: 8mm Mauser (7.92x57mm)
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: Offered for sale: 1945 Mauser K98k, from the Steyr factory (production code BNZ 45). Serial number is 5489T, which is in the last 1,000 rifles of production. The rifle is a full Kriegsmodell. It has all of the features distinctive to the very late production rifles as the weapons factories in Germany worked to simplify and speed up production as much as possible. Many of the cast surfaces are only roughly post-machined. Most of the metal finishes are phosphate. The trigger guard and barrel bands are all stamped. The fore-end cap is a simple stamped piece; by this point they were not even putting bayonet lugs on them. The stock has a takedown hole in the buttplate instead of a takedown disk on the side of the stock.
The rifle is all matching and all original, including the stock. It does not have any import markings. The only components missing are the front sight shroud and the rear sight base screw.
A full gallery of detailed photographs of this rifle is available here.
Asking $2,500 cash, or best reasonable offer. Must meet face-to-face. I live and work in the Alpharetta/Milton/Cumming area, however for the right buyer I would be willing to drive a little ways to meet in the middle.
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM.
