Item has been relisted, you can find the new listing at: http://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/fs-remington-700-5r-stock.1253254/
Item Name: FS Remington 700 5R HS Precision stock

Location: Carrollton, GA

Zip Code: 30116

Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: 275.00

Willing to Ship: No

Bill of Sale Required?: No

Item Description: Selling the HS Precision stock off my Rem 700 5R Milspec .308. I bought a chassis and this is on my table literally collecting dust.

I cleanly made the following modifications to the stock:
Filled the hollow cavity in the butt with lead secured with epoxy---Total weight of stock is approx 5.5 lbs.
Installed a grind-to-fit Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad with two 1/4" spacers
Added a Karsten kydex adjustable cheekpiece
Bedded the action with Devcon 10110 Plastic Steel Putty

Includes the 3 original sling studs.

I rate the condition as very good, the only flaws being a small chip at the bottom of the pistol grip (shown in pic) and an outline around the front sling studs where I used to have a picatinny rail installed.

Call or text no later than 8 PM please, as I get up early for work. Or you can PM me.

Yes, there is/was a small hollow place in the HS Precision stocks behind the buttpad that I filled with some cut down lead bars. It makes the rifle balance a lot better, in addition to reducing recoil. I didn't care if the rifle was heavy, I'm not toting it anywhere far. I'll have to weigh it this afternoon when I get home.
