"Conversation piece" Marked "Wells Fargo"
20" barrels
Fair condition
Hammers function
Pitted barrels
W. Richards was a trade name used on shotguns manufactured by Henri Pieper of Liege, Belgium and imported to large distributers such as H. & D. Folsom Arms Co. from 1860 to 1898.
"Wells Fargo is stamped on the inside of the
receiver and butt stock as shown in the pictures.
This would look great on a mantle or on display.

Looks to be a golden oldie I’d use custom load black powder spec nothing hot and modern...or just put it on the wall it’s ancient. You can buy a brand new coach gun for all modern rounds.
thanks, dont poke the bear13. Sorry didnt get back sooner been gone just seen your message. I kinda figured it was pretty old and wouldnt safely shoot modern ammo. However, I did once have a 12g, rabbit eared double barrel I shot 2 3/4 bird shot in it all the time, luckily I didnt have a misshap with it . The barrels were made of wound piano wire and they had some how fused it with lead. Cool gun wish I had kept it.
