Item Relisted! FS WW1 1909 Mauser 7mm Rifle (rechambered to 308)

A gentleman brought this back from the war. It is a 1909 Mauser 7mm rifle, which has been rechambered to 308. All the numbers match on the various gun parts making that much more collectable. $400 is my bottom dollar, so please don't send me an offer for less money. This is what I paid for it, I need the money, so I'll sell it for what I have in it. Thanks.

Yes it is most likely a Spanish oveido Mauser. Though it is neat that it survived the Cold War NATO rechamberings of all these rifles to 308. Must have spent some time outside of Spain.

I'm not sure on all the history, but it was from 1909, which would have placed it within WW1.

The guy I got it from did say something about 308, so you may be right.
