First or second year production after the Mod. 39 was discontinued.

Has original case hardening on the receiver and lever.

Believed to be the last year Marlin used case hardening
with this model.

No careless handling marks to be found on bluing or wood.

Very Small amount of freckling on right side of receiver.

Bore in excellent condition.

Well cared for nearly 80 years.

A good 90+% condition.

Chance of a life time to own an early, never to be again Marlin 39a.

A real piece of shooting history.
