Send it back. They'll want the whole gun in any event to do the warranty work in order to verify fit, headspace and timeing. For my money, if its a regular problem with this make, I would then swap it off (even at a loss) and purchase something different.

Me Kahr's barrel is chipped too (more like peening). I had to go pull a Kahr P40 barrel that I'm having issues with it failing to return to battery that I will work through this weekend (extractor tension is high and a bit polish on the rough spots is needed). This seems to support what the fellow at Kahr stated.
So the same spot as my Glock, the same as your Kahr, my Kahr has some peening. It doesn't bother me as it will probably mate and lock up tighter. The top of the anterior hood has a small bur that is probably one of the primary reasons it is failing to return to full battery and a few light file strokes will correct it.
