My business, Tractiongrips, has been selling gun grips on Ebay for over 24 year, in their "Gun Grips" category. Over those years, I believe they've removed a half dozen items, and in all but one or two cases, the items were reinstated upon appeal, because they simply didn't violate their weapons policy. Apparently, selling a piece of rubber grip tape to fit a MagPul vertical grip is a menace to society, so that one was determined to be a violation. Ebay was a significant part of my income for the past decade, after retiring from my job with the county. Now, I have no Ebay sales popping up constantly through the day, and no shipping items out frantically every morning.
We have items listed on Amazon, but with all of the China-Direct crap on there to compete with, sales are down. Some of our competition thought they'd save some money and have their products made in China, and now there are bootleg copies of their products being sold for two bucks, instead of the fifteen they were charging. I just finished building a new website, to replace the 20+ year old site we've been using, which is on a platform so old Google doesn't recognize anything on the site to end up in search results. I'm hoping the new site will take off, but with every social media site out there blocking our posts and removing our videos, it's hard to even let folks know we're offering products they can use. I have a few custom made items listed here on the ODT from time-to-time, but if anyone is interested in our complete lineup, please check out the site InstantStipple.com. Every grip we offer is made in Athens, GA, and all of our standard rubber Tractiongrips, granulated rubber Instant Stipple, and mineral grit Tractiongrips materials are sourced from US manufacturers. Our custom materials come from all over the world, with cork coming from Portugal, Leather coming from Italy, and some of the odd rubber materials coming from various Asian countries including China, as much as I hate to source from.
We have a 20% off sale going through the end of June, and once that's ended, it may be extended, but we'll continue to offer the discount to ODT members, by offering a coupon code through the site once the sale is over. Our old site, Tractiongrips.com is still up, and there's a link to the new Instant Stipple site near the top of the home page on the tractiongrips site. There's no way to use coupon codes or to offer sales on the old platform, so I encourage everyone to use the new Instant Stipple site. In the very near future, both web addresses will go to the same site.
I will no longer be purchasing from Ebay. If I find something on the site, I'll figure out how to order it directly from the seller, or pay more to order it on a different platform. Every purchase made o one of these anti-gun sites funds the pushing of their agenda. It's a shame so many huge companies have taken the stand that if the government can't ban guns, it's their duty to make it as difficult for the firearms industry a possible. I'll be looking at sites like PublicSquare before shopping elsewhere, and hopefully, they'll approve my business to sell on their site at some point.
