Heartbreaking. So sad for all. Prayers for the poor lady, her loved ones and for the roommate at fault.

How? Unless someone is being aggressive towards you, why would you automatically start blasting? I've had drunks come into an apartment, fighting dudes break my door in, etc. But I didn't immediately start blasting. I took a second to assess* the situation.

* cue the armchair warriors with the "that second could cost you your life!" comments.
