$400+ ain’t bad compared to what JM .45-70’s are going for.
Sadly though, the $400 one's generally have chucks of the stock missing, bluing gone and pitting...and thats were they start...seen 5-6 if they are decent. Hard to tell a buddy there worth that IMO, but I keep searching.
just looked at a win 30-30 on here. I think dang near 600..really

I'm in Savannah and have one in fair condition.
No chunks missing. 90% of the bluing. Some scratches in the wood. Just a good used gun.
Also has a period correct scope. 1.5X4.5 Realist in see thru mount.
Some one will have to drive to Savannah area for it.
