I live in Kennesaw, GA and I'm looking for someone to go hunting with. I have all my own equipment. I have a 12 GA Charles Daly Shotgun so I'm up for hunting anything (i.e. big game, waterfowl, turkey, hog) although I prefer deer. I would prefer someone who already knows some hunting areas within 50 miles of Kennesaw, GA because the only time I go hunting is with my uncle in MS and I don't want to travel all that way just for a hunt. Basically I'm just looking for somewhere closer to go hunting and make some friend/s in the process.

What part of MS, is your family from there? My entire extended family lives in central MS and the delta. My dad's family lives in Carroll Co. (Outside of Granada) and my mom's family is in Winston Co. (Outside Philadelphia). Also my great uncles have a camp house on the sunflower river that has been in the family for years. I consider MS a second home as I've been fishing / hunting there my whole life.

In GA, I am in a club in Talbot Co (central GA). I would go on the GON forum and see what clubs are looking for members. Great way to meet some folks and have access to some land. Just make sure your goals as a hunter are similar to that of the club.

Also, there are several WMAs within 50 miles of Kennesaw (paulding forest, pine log, berry college). More info on them can be found on the GA DNR website. Note - WMAs close to ATL will get hunted hard.

I see you are new to this forum. Welcome! One suggestion, if you are looking for people to take you hunting or to meet up with, I would add more details about yourself to your post - hunting experience, hunting goals, maybe a bit about your family / what type of work you do, age, that you have a hunter safety card / license, etc. I think members of this forum would be more willing to help if they had a better idea of who they were dealing with. Another tactic is to offer to put in some work on the property in exchange for a hunt...or maybe that you will kill a coyote first, throw in / supply food plot materials, corn, minerals, etc. that kind of stuff works.
