For the modes on the light:
Mode 1: Tail switch to turn on(there may be a piece of paper underneath the tail cap that needs to be removed before first use, just unscrew it and it will fall out)
Top button to switch brightness and then double click top button for turbo and triple for strobe
Mode 2: (my preferred mode)
Tail switch to turn on
Hold top button for 3-4 seconds until it flashes to get to mode 2
Top button switches brightness between medium and turbo and double click for strobe and double click again for sos and double click one more time for beacon. It will not go to strobe or the others unless you double click so if you just need the medium and turbo then single presses of the top button will switch between them. In mode 2, it will go back to whatever brightness you had it on when you turned it off so for me I just leave it on turbo to instantly access its brightest available from one click of the tail switch. Mode 1 will only go up to high when turned back on and you have to always double click to get back to turbo so I prefer mode 2.
In either mode you can hold down the top button and then press tail switch to go to moonlight mode which is very low light.
