Mabey I read too much Tom Clancy and Vince Flynn , but I think there is a 777 sitting on a North African runway with executed passengers and being packed full of nasty stuff that goes boom. Just my crazy imagination I guess I just hope jack Ryan jr and Mitch rapp are all over it

Ran out of fuel, OR fuselage failure (something for which 777s have a tiny bit of notoriety), faulty wiring and a fire.... there are so many things that can go wrong with an airplane. Sad for the families.
I would think anything along those lines would've had a chance for radio communication....I'm with the opinion it either was forced down or exploded. But in any case , yes , very sad for the families. Not knowing is worse sometimes.
All I know is... right now I can open an app on my iPhone and it tells me where my wife is, and where each of my kids are. It just baffles me how we are expected to believe this expensive piece of equipment has accidentally disappeared with no means of location device being activated, and no trace of where it's gone.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese shot it down (accidentally or on purpose). They've been beating their chest about how they own the sea. Might have been some Chinese diplomats or business men on there that The Party didn't like.
