Magnum force

I’m watching magnum force today for the 3000th this time. The scene where the motorcycle cop shoots the other motorcycle cop and then takes off his silencer with a turn and release mechanism looks fake has anybody ever make a revolver silencer like this? And wouldn’t a revolver cylinder gap negate the silencer?

Great movie but pretty sure it will never work in real life. Hollywood at its finest

You can suppress a revolver, and folks have done it, but it doesn't work as well as on a semi-auto.

On something like a Nagant M1895 revolver, it actually works pretty well.

Of course, even this one is louder than the Hollywood "pew".

That is probably the single biggest reason suppressors are still on the NFA. People think they "silence" gunshots.
