Work great at night during the hot months, Texas rigged. - or in stained water.

I haven't. I've only fished them Carolina rigged though and tried it in some creek beds and some deeper highways. Most on Lanier but tried Guntersville and Rabun once.
yep used them for years. they work, caught everything from 10lb bass and 1/2 lb bass on them maybe even a crappie or two

Why it gotta be black?
I've noticed the same thing when I Carolina rigged them. I thought it would cut down on bites from smaller fish but it really didn't.
