Mazda 3 Good/Bad???

See that's my same theory. We don't have e Honda and Toyota money at my house. And we're not real concerned with resale value. My wife got 320K out of her last car. So now she has a Kia Soul. I know Kia and Hyundai depreciate pretty steeply and quickly. But that works in YOUR favor if you're the second buyer. I'm not a big fan of sedans overall but I like the look of the previous body style Hyundai Sonata. And Hyundai makes damn good cars. My only other recommendation aside from that is to not buy Asian import cars with V6 engines. The 4 cylinder cars are plenty fast enough and cheaper on gas and insurance. Plus working on a front drive V6 sucks ass.Accords from around 98 to 02 had problems with automatic transmissions so bad that there was eventually a recall. But the first cars those problems surfaced in was the V6 cars. New(er) cars with lots of options is always nice. But I prefer to keep it simple especially mechanically.

I completely agree with you..if its an accord or Camry get the 4cyl not the 6

Mazda is notorious for interrupt engines..

actually a lot of their smaller cars are non interrupt engines. I know the ones in the maitas are and I believe they used the same engines in the protégés, just a single cam version

their dual cam arnt interrupt either. So as long as its a B series its good. now the newer z series in the mazda 3's im not so sure about

Only interrupt motor I ever had a problem with was a Toyota Celica.
