Been looking at my Movado and considering selling it. I noticed the word Second and a number engraved on the back and can't find any information on their meaning. Anyone have a clue?

The "84.A5.863" is the model #. I was thinking the numbers below that were a serial #. It's a 7 digit number that is apparently stamped into the metal not on it like the brand, model info. The "Second" is also stamped(engraved?) into the metal. I bought the watch used and never really noticed it. Ignorance and inexperience with the brand I guess. Now I wonder if it's a mark of some repair jeweler or something.

No, watchmakers make their notes in the inside of the case back, old school guys with scratch a date and their initials with a screw driver and new guys use a permanent marker, but that is professional engraving by a machine so who knows, probably gifted as a placement in a race as someone else said.
